Last Sunday, the women of United Women in Faith at First United Methodist Church of Pensacola gathered to kick off the year with a delightful luncheon filled with laughter, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose. This event brought together women of all ages and backgrounds, uniting them in faith and friendship as they set the tone for the months ahead.
A Warm Welcome and Fellowship
The luncheon began with a heartfelt welcome from the UWFaith Chair, Pat Franklin, who expressed her gratitude for everyone’s presence. Jane Roberts shared with us the history of Methodist Women and their ministry in the church, especially notable women at FUMC Pensacola. Each Circle leader gave a brief description of their group, inviting others to join. Peggy Groves shared a little about the missions and social action initiatives of our group, and Sara Hunt finished up the presentation with information about the UWFaith Reading Program.
